All children require teaching, support and encouragement at different stages of their development in different areas of their learning, for different lengths of time.

Some children have very specific areas of support that have been formally identified and assessed. These can be identified as ‘special educational needs’ (SEN). These needs can include speech and language development, physical development, emotional, social and behavioural development, social communication development etc.

Janvrin School always works with parents and families in assessing and supporting these areas, from their initial identification to their identified support.

As a school we know that children will learn best in their regular learning environment, and the school works hard to ensure that any identified support is developed in this way. As part of this ‘inclusion’ we also encourage all children to develop their understanding of the different needs of different children and to support and celebrate this diversity.
